An Introduction to Austin Vocal Psychotherapy
With Tina Warnock and Sarah Gummett-Hart
This 2-day experiential workshop is an opportunity for Music Therapists to deepen their understanding of the processes taking place when they connect with themselves and others through voice work. The group improvisation experiences, songs and reflective discussion will facilitate an embodied understanding of how vocal psychotherapists work, and how the method can be used to support people with trauma and mental health issues. We will introduce the key techniques used in Austin Vocal Psychotherapy and give information about the next UK-based international training programme, beginning in October 2026.
