Clare Maddocks

Director of Education and Research

Clare Maddocks is a qualified Neurologic Music Therapist based in Glasgow. She studied her MA in Music Therapy at the University of the West of England, completing in Autumn 2018. Clare has a strong passion for working within the field of brain injury, as it was through her work as a community musician on Stroke wards that led her to train as a Music Therapist. Prior to training she worked in a multitude of health and education settings as a musician and teacher, and has extensive experience of setting up bespoke community music projects. She works part-time for BAMT and is also a freelance Neurologic Music Therapist (CM Music).

Clare has worked at BAMT since 2018 as PR Officer before transitioning into the Director of Education and Research role in July 2023. Outside of the world of Music Therapy she is mum to two vivacious daughters and enjoys any excuse to escape out into nature with her dog.
